Ultra Trail Kohima Run | 8 November 2025

Find answers to the most commonly asked questions about Ultra Trail Kohima. If you need further assistance, please contact us at the phone numbers and emails provided on the website.

Can we get the GPX file of the trail run?

Yes. GPX files for the 20 km, 45 km, and 70 km routes are made available to registered runners ahead of race day so you can study the terrain and elevation profile in advance. Reach out to us if you haven't received yours.

Is food or refreshments provided during the run?

Aid stations are placed along each route offering water, electrolytes, and light snacks to keep you fueled through the climbs. We recommend also carrying your own hydration and nutrition for longer stretches between stations.

Is there a drop-bag facility at the starting point?

Yes, a drop-bag facility is available at the start so you can leave a change of clothes, warm layers, or personal items to collect at the finish. Please label your bag clearly with your race number.

What kind of bag is accepted?

A single sealed or clearly labeled bag per runner is accepted for drop-bag storage, within a reasonable size so it can be transported and stored securely. Avoid loose items or bags without a race number.

Is there transport available to the start of the race?

We help coordinate transport from Kohima city to the start line for runners who need it. Let us know your accommodation location in advance so we can arrange or advise on the best transport option.

Can I get assistance with hotel booking and transfers?

Yes, our team can help you find accommodation in Kohima and arrange transfers to and from the venue. See the Reservations page or contact us directly with your dates and preferences.

How will I identify the trail in the forested areas?

Routes through villages such as Kiruphema, Sechüma, Mezoma, Khonoma, and Jotsoma are marked with trail flagging and directional signage at key junctions, and marshals are stationed along technical sections. Carrying the GPX file on a GPS watch or phone is strongly recommended as a backup in denser forest sections.

Will I receive any reward after completing the run?

Finishers receive recognition for completing their distance, with results published after the event. Specific finisher items and awards for each race category are communicated closer to race day.

What if I take a wrong route during the run?

If you notice you've gone off course, retrace your steps to the last marked point or checkpoint and look for the nearest trail marker or marshal. Carrying the GPX file lets you check your position at any time, and our contact numbers are available if you need assistance.

Do I need any permits or formalities to participate?

Nagaland requires an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Indian citizens from outside the state and appropriate travel documentation for international participants. We can advise on the current requirements when you register; contact us ahead of your travel dates to confirm what applies to you.
